THE FRAMEWORK
About Make It Make Sense™
-
It's a four-step repeatable pattern for navigating confusing or challenging social moments — at work and beyond. The steps are Decode → Relate → Apply → Respond. Instead of reacting to what's happening, the framework helps you pause, understand what's actually going on, connect it to something familiar, use the right tool for the moment, and respond with clarity and intention.
-
Both. The framework was discovered through Monica's own lived experience as a neurodivergent person who had to reverse-engineer social intelligence — but it's also grounded in research on pattern recognition, social cognition, emotional intelligence, and communication science. The framework has been validated through observation across real workplace and social scenarios.
-
Not at all. The framework was born from a neurodivergent experience, but the pattern itself is universal. Anyone who has ever overthought a conversation, misread a room, or felt like they missed the social memo at work will benefit from it. The neurodivergent angle simply means the framework is especially accessible to brains that process things differently — but it works for everyone.
-
Most communication training teaches skills in isolation — active listening here, body language there, assertiveness somewhere else. The problem is that isolated skills don't help when you're in a real, confusing moment and your brain needs a single pattern to follow. The Make It Make Sense™ Framework integrates everything into one repeatable process, so instead of juggling separate tools, you have one system that works every time.
WORKING WITH MONICA
Speaking, Workshops
& Corporate Training
-
For best availability, reach out at least 6-8 weeks before your event date. For larger conferences or keynotes, 3-6 months is ideal. That said, if you have a last-minute need, reach out anyway — Monica will do her best to accommodate.
-
A workshop is a standalone session (60-90 minutes or the full 4-week program) focused on teaching the Make It Make Sense™ Framework to a group. Corporate training goes deeper — Monica works directly with your organization to identify specific communication patterns causing friction and builds a customized training plan around your team's actual challenges.
-
Does Monica do virtual events?
+
Yes! Virtual speaking and workshop engagements are available. Monica is based in the Pacific Northwest and available for in-person events with travel — and fully equipped for high-quality virtual delivery for teams and audiences anywhere.
-
Pricing varies depending on the type of engagement, audience size, event length, and whether travel is involved. Every inquiry gets a real conversation — not a rigid rate card.
Monica is committed to working with your budget wherever possible. Whether you're a large corporation or a small community organization, the goal is to find an arrangement that works for both sides.
